Numbers (328 words)

Numbers. Numbers to most are just digits used to get through the world, a way to measure, figure out, and a simple thing. Numbers meant something else to a certain man in green. A lot of memories, both good and bad. A lot of arguments, fights, deaths. A lot of laughs and sparring sessions. A way of life. His life, or his old life. The way he was raised. Who was he? Six. He was Six. The sixth dangerous and deadliest person in the world. There were five others more dangerous and deadly than him. They didn't see much of each other these days and had little patients or care to be around each other but when they were together they were The Numbers, the most dangerous and deadliest people on the planet. They kill for money, fight and do what they can to survive. The four lower ranked numbers were all raised by One, the most dangerous man in the world.

One.  He was the deadliest, and he was the most dangerous. Yet he wasn't without a heart, he took in four lost, homeless, wayward children. He raised them, guided them, trained them. They were trained to be dangerous and deadly, yes, but that didn't mean he didn't instill manners and morals into them. He did. But he left it to them if they took to them. He was a harsh trainer and very dangerous and deadly but that didn't mean he didn't care for them. He would push them to their hardest but always made sure they were safe. He cared about them and loved them. They thought of him as a master, a mentor and called him master. He was a master of many things and a mentor to these fighters, but that didn't mean it was just that, he also saw himself as a father. He was to the others even if they wouldn't say it. He was the one who brought them together.
